About Feeding Happy Kids

Feeding matters, and when it doesn’t go the way you want it to, it can be the hardest time of the day for you and your family.

Feeding Happy Kids has been dedicated to providing Speech Pathology services to families across Sydney, the Illawarra, and the Shoalhaven. Our mission is to educate and support families in understanding their child's eating and drinking behaviours, fostering empathy and reducing the power struggles that can often arise during mealtimes. We see children from birth to primary school age.

At Feeding Happy Kids, we believe in creating inclusive feeding environments that cater to the unique needs of every child. Our goal is to empower families to respond effectively to their child's feeding requirements, resulting in more harmonious mealtimes and a positive relationship with food.

Our team of experts understands the complexities and challenges that can arise when it comes to children and their eating habits. We provide valuable education to families, offering insights into the underlying factors that influence a child's eating behaviours. By developing a deeper understanding of these factors, families can approach mealtimes with compassion, patience, and practical strategies.

We work closely with families to create individualised feeding plans that consider a child's motor needs,  sensory preferences, developmental stage, and any specific challenges they may face. Our approach is collaborative, ensuring that parents and caregivers are actively involved in the process, and their input is valued and incorporated into the feeding strategies.

Our ultimate goal is to foster a positive and healthy relationship between children and food. By offering guidance, resources, and ongoing support, we empower families to create an environment where mealtimes are enjoyable, stress-free, and nurturing for both children and parents.

We help with:

  • Breast or bottle feeding
  • Difficulties with introduction to solids, and age-appropriate texture progressions
  • Garden picky eating and food neophobia
  • Oral motor and sensorimotor feeding difficulties
  • Feeding differences associated with neurodiversity, including Autism Spectrum Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Oral aversion
  • Tube weaning

If you're seeking assistance in understanding and addressing your child's eating and drinking behaviours, Feeding Happy Kids is here to support you. Together, we can build a foundation of understanding, compassion, and effective strategies to transform mealtimes into moments of connection and joy.
